TechnoMart respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number, password (hashed)
- Order details: delivery address, items purchased, order amount
- Payment metadata: payment status and reference (we never see card numbers)
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited
How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders
- To communicate order status and respond to support requests
- To detect fraud and protect the integrity of the service
- To comply with legal and tax obligations
Who we share information with
We share only what is necessary, with the following operators:
- Supabase (database hosting, EU)
- Vercel (web hosting and edge functions)
- Peach Payments (payment processing, South Africa)
- Couriers (delivery name, address, phone for fulfilment only)
We do not sell your personal information.
Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers store data outside South Africa (Supabase in the EU, Vercel in the US). We use providers with equivalent protections to POPIA where possible.
Retention
We keep order records for at least 5 years to meet South African tax law. You may request deletion of marketing data at any time.

- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator
